“When I look to the future, it’s about continuing to challenge ourselves and the industry at large to do better. I’m optimistic. I think some inefficiencies and structural barriers to financial equality will start to fall away, and I look forward to the day when all consumers can enjoy the things that were once only available to people who had money. I feel like that day is coming.”
“I like that [the course] went into depth on everything it was teaching me, like how to set up and manage a savings account, and a checking account. How to manage your credit and the debts you owe. I really liked how it actually put you in different situations to teach you how to act or react.”
“I really like that it is broken up into different categories. The majority of students has little to no basic knowledge of any of the financial literacy topics. It is important to break the topics up and focus on one at a time.”
“Thank you to Varo Money for bringing this event and course to my classroom at Leuzinger. I was never taught financial literacy in school and I had many financial surprises along the way. I didn’t want my students to be surprised with day to day things like when they receive their first check and see their net pay. It was also important for them to learn about building credit and the possibility of passive income.”
